Google shared a new look version of Google Analytics in at the Google Analytics User Conference in San Francisco. This new research came from a small group of Analytics users who participate in the testing. Google said to users “If you’re part of this group you’ll see a link to the new version in your Analytics account.”

Google announced in their blog about this upcoming future. This new version will help users to build analytics easier and faster to get to the data they want and to boost the Google Analytics platform to bring major new functionality to them. Many of the changes in the new version are the result of user feedback. For example, now user can view multiple advanced segments without needing to also use All Visits. You’ll find some of the other most requested features like multiple dashboards in the new version as well. As user will start using the new Google Analytics, they should also check out the updated Google Analytics Help Center, which will show where to find your favorite reports in the new version. Google also said “We’ve also set up a new category in the Help Forum where you can ask questions and discuss the new version.” which will assist user to get routine of new version of Analytics.

Google Analytics blog paying attention exclusively on the new Analytics will be sharing many more details about what’s new along the way with a new series in the meantime, if you want to be considered for the test, visit the beta sign-up page. Using the new version won’t change how Google Analytics reports your website traffic, and you can continue to use the current version while testing the new Analytics.

Update: Today, I got the Google Analytics beta invitation so I captured few snapshots. Here they’re:

I was also shocked to see this but Yeah this is true! This week, I notice that my blog is showing not only more than 100% in fact more than 500% “New Visits” traffic stats. First I thought a lot about it that how it’s possible. Is this a Google error or I’m not updated? But then I Google it and found techacid post also on the same topic, posted on 5th March’2009. Here are the snapshots of eMarketinGuide.com traffic stats:

Another Snapshot of 22nd March (Previous Day) Traffic Stats:

It’s not only the New Visits, it’s also showing the wrong numbers of total visitors as well, see the red marked portion in above pics. Now, few questions arises in my mind:

Is this happen in March month of every year as it happened in last year as well (approx. same time)?

OR is it a bug, available in Google Analytics forever?

I’ve posted about this issue on Google Analytics Help Forums as well and expecting a quick response from AnalyticsPro.Chris (Google Employee). Let’s see what Google is saying.

Am I the only one who is facing this issue now-a-days or there are more people. Let’s share…

Today, I got a mail from Google Analytics with an annoucement that they’ve added 7 more rich features in Google Analytics. With these features users will be able to get quicker insights, create deeper customizations, do more advanced analysis and track more mobile marketing! These features are rolled out on every server.

Probably, you’ll be already aware of 1 or 2 features. Check out the features details:

Custom Alerts: As the subpart of “Intelligence” tab, custom alerts monitors data patterns over daily, weekly and monthly periods. Significant changes in data trends and insights you may not have noticed are surfaced directly in your account. You can create your own Custom Alerts that monitor your selection of dimensions and metrics that can be sent by email or displayed in the Intelligence reports.

Expanded Goals – 20 Goals Per profile: Now you can track even more conversions by creating up to 20 goals per profile. Measure user engagement and branding success on the site with Time on Site and Pages per Visit goals.

Expanded Mobile Reporting: Google Analytics has expanded support for mobile websites and tracking for iPhone & Android mobile applications tracking. Adding server side code to your PHP, JSP, PERL, or ASPX mobile websites enables you to track non-Java-Script enabled phones. You’ll also be able to see breakout data on mobile devices and carriers in the new Mobile reports in the Visitors section.

Unique Visitors Metric: Now you know the exact number of unique visitors in your Custom Report or Advanced Segments. You can select Unique Visitors as a metric against any dimensions in Google Analytics.

Advanced Analysis Features: Dive deeper into your data with Pivoting, Secondary Dimensions, and Advanced Table Filtering features. These combined features enable you to perform in-depth, on the fly data analysis within your account.

Share Advanced Segments and Custom Report Templates: Share the URL link for an Advanced Segment or Custom Report with anyone who has an Analytics account. Wow! Cool feature. Sharing the link will automatically import the pre-formatted template into the person’s account. Ability to share or hide your Advanced Segments and Custom Reports by profile is also available.

Multiple Custom Variables: Custom variables provide the power and flexibility to customize Google Analytics to collect the unique site usage data most important to your business. Define and track visitors according to visitor attributes (member vs. non-member), session attributes (signed in or signed out), and by page-level attributes (viewed Sports section). Use custom variables to classify any number of interactions and behaviors on your site.

Try all these features and let me know your views. Remember, you can post your queries as well…. All the best!
