No mention of whether or not they plan on providing an API for third-party developers to integrate the service.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Google announce this news through <a href="http://googleblog.blogspot.com/2009/12/making-urls-shorter-for-google-toolbar.html" target="_blank"><strong>Official blog post</strong></a> says their service is not a standalone offering &#8211; at least for now. As this is not new so they&#8217;re giving rights to use this service only through <a href="http://toolbar.google.com" target="_blank"><strong>Google Toolbar</strong></a> or <a href="http://adsenseforfeeds.blogspot.com/2009/12/socializing-your-feed-with-twitter.html" target="_blank"><strong>Feedburner</strong></a>. You can&#8217;t use it to shorten links directly.</p>
