I was also shocked to see this but Yeah this is true! This week, I notice that my blog is showing not only more than 100% in fact more than 500% “New Visits” traffic stats. First I thought a lot about it that how it’s possible. Is this a Google error or I’m not updated? But then I Google it and found techacid post also on the same topic, posted on 5th March’2009. Google & Facebook Shorten URL Service

It’s Shorten URL’s season. First Facebook and then Google launched their own URL shorten service. Facebook shorten URL is fb.me and Google is Goo.gl.

Google Facebook Shorten URL ServiceFacebook’s fb.me service will allow you to shorten any link on the site – even if you just want to trim down the path to a specific profile page (http://fb.me/ankush.kohli). No mention of whether or not they plan on providing an API for third-party developers to integrate the service.
